Mankato Old Town
On July 12, 2010, while visiting the Alemar Cheese Company for a day, I took a mid-afternoon break from watching cheese being made to wander Riverfront Drive, along which are found the remaining buildings of Mankato's "Old Town." I decided to do the photography almost entirely in High Dynamic Range, meaning I took the photos as three sequential images hand-held. Since most of the buildings are old brick structures, the resulting photos are rich in color. It makes me think I should visit many other large towns and small cities around Minnesota, since I know several of them have similar well-preserved older sections of town.
